No reboot -> crash, reboot -> no crash

Hi, this problem really hasn't really bothered me when i first put the computer together, but now, its really starting to annoy me. The problem is, when i coldboot the computer and try to play a game or something, the computer crashes, sometimes saying display driver problem, other times not saying anything at all. If i coldboot it and then immediately reboot it, the computer doesn't crash when i play a game. This problem occurs even when the computer's been on for a long time and i try to play a game without rebooting.

System specs:
Albatron KX400+Pro
AMD XP1600+
512MB DDR266 generic
WD 600BB 60GB
ATI Radeon 8500LE 64MB OEM
Santa Cruz
Linksys LNE100TX v4
Lite-on 48x12x48x
Generic floppy
Antec SL300S 300W

Oh yeah, running WinXP Pro too.

Any tips? Thanks.

First off, right click My Computer and goto properties. Click Advanced tab, and then the Settings button under Startup and Recovery. Make sure Automatically Restart is not checked off. You will then get to sit at the screen that states what the error was. Write it down and then reply here with the exact error message.

Alrighty, just did that and got it to crash.

"A problem has been detected... yadda yadda yadda.

Stop: 0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0xBF812553, oxF86E5CB8, 0x00000000
win32k.sys - Address BF812553 base as BF00000, DateStamp 3db6d462"

I think that was the whole thing.
