I've got a duron600 on A7V Bios 1004a(at least I think its "a")128 PC100, v5 5500 pci.Problem I have is the Duron won't post at 8x100.Its ok at 7.5 and i can raise bus to 107 no problem. After that I get lockups on internet.I tried 8x100 at 1.7 volts and only have one more(1.8)Do you guys think it will work at that voltage or is there some reason anyone can think of as to why I can't post with 8.0 multiplier.I have a Fop32 and temps at 802 are 38-43C.Any ideas???I would like to reach 850 at least.

If you penciled it, needs to be redone. If conductive pen/loctive method, then cpu may have reached its limit if it was an early week duron

I seem to recall the #on the duron was 29 .Is this a not so good week?I did use the conductive pen method.Maybe you're right,802 could be its limit, stable. Thanks for the info Tonec.Oh yea-Would a better PS help? The one I have is a 235W

Higher voltage helps, my week31 duron with loctite is stable at 10x100 1.85volts, this is with pos 200watt power supply.

I have a week 29 and so do alot of people on this boards that seems to have very good luck hitting at 900MHz or more. I think that it maybe your unlocking method that's stopping from going higher. My system has been on for a 24/7 for at least a months since I'm running an FTP server. 2 days ago power just went out and it wouldn't boot. So I had to set multiplier back 600 to get it back on. Now I'm just too lazy to go and get some LOCTITE. So I just had it at 600MHz for now. What unlocking method did you use?

I figured the conductive pen would be better .the voodoo does throw quite a bit of heat .I have the case open in a fairly open spot,70F room temp.

A couple of things, My duron 600 will not post at any multiplier between 7 and 8.5. As far as I can tell,it has nothing to do with voltage, the bridges, or any other physical reason within my control. It will run at 6, 6.5,9,9.5,10,10.5. I have not tried 11+. the conductive pen is better than any pencil lead. Make sure that all the bridges are connected properly, then try 9.0. I had the same "cold Start" problem as duron boy until I painted in the bridges with loctite stuff. Now the A7V boots perfectly. The heat off the voodoo should not affect post, since it does not heat up instantly. My duron is week 27, and runs at 1016 at 1.85v no problem. Temp is 41C right now, about 47C full load. One last thing, does the case get really hot from the Voodoo? This could cause crashes.

Try upping your voltage. You should have no issue with 1.85v if you have a decent HSF. If you don't have a decent HSF, then you should get one before you do any serious OCing.
