No post until windows loads

Sometimes, when i boot up my system, it will post and show bios and everything, but most of the time it does not post until windows loads. Very weird, any ideas guys?
 
methinks you dont know what post is - that is well, impossible - perhaps it is rebooting in the middle of loading windows?

eep - how'd i get in technical support?, i thought i was in software and programming...lol
 
Ummm, I think you may be confused. Bios is like a menu where you can initially setup/modify your hardware settings. It doesn't just magically appear in the middle of windows starting up. What exactly are you talking about?
 
POST is power on self test. Windows cannot load until this has been done successfully, therefore it is in fact posting.

From what you have said, I think a faulty video card or monitor, perhaps a bad connection somewhere is causing the problem. Thats what I would check for first anyway.

Ok, I have to ask this: Are you sure its not just taking a long time for the monitor to warm up, like how a TV doesn't display immediately after turned on, but takes a little while?
