No post/no boot on my kv8 deluxe

well it turned out that until the BIOS was updated the mobo can't run dual channel so i took one stick out (after reassembling the whole thing lol) and it booted up like a charm. so now everything is in place and working and my first build is nearly complete 🙂
 
FYI, the Socket754 CPUs that would fit into a K8V Deluxe have only one memory controller, so dual-channel is impossible by definition. But good to hear you're making headway, whatever the real problem was 🙂 Hang in there and be careful not to catch worms: preventive tips
 
I have the 939 3000+ and dual channel is already enabled so I'm just waiting for my friend to give me XP, and for my dual layer dvd drive to come. thanks for the help!
 
If it's socket 939, it's not a K8V Deluxe 😉 and you should buy your own WinXP license foo.

how did you update BIOS when there was no post? or if anyone else knows please answer.....just curious....because I'm having same problems.
