No POST after x1950PRO

I bought an Antec EARTHWATTS 500 for new AGP video. Was working OK after messing with it for awhile. I may have not unplugged while changing video cards. I rebooted now have no POST. Tried old PSU, same problem. All components are removed...no beeps. System will power off with soft shutdown (holding in the power button)...Any help appreciated. Thanks!

Ok you said you bought new PSU for your new AGP video card, what if you put in the old video card you had? You could try that, but by the sounds of it, it would seem that your mobo is possibly fried considering no beeps when you try to boot with nothing, then again it could be one of those boards where you need speakers plugged into the motherboard audio port in the back to get the post codes.

Also, did you maybe forget to hook up your ATX12V cable (square 4-pin, 2 yellow wires, two black wires, no orange or red wires)? That would prevent POST too.

Your computer is evil and doesn't want you to play new games with the eye candy on :| See if you can purge the wickedness from its resentful little BIOS chip by

1) unplugging the computer

2) remove the CMOS battery from the motherboard

3) move the CLRTC jumper to the Clear position for about 15 seconds

4) move the jumper back, then reinsert the battery and plug the system in again

Any good? 😕 edit: yeah, and does the old video card work?

Also, try powering everything off completely (plugs pulled) and put the monitor on the other video output of the video card.
