No plastic ring on my twist top Diet Mountain Dew bottle

Pulled my DMD bottle out of my bag today, opened it, and started drinking.
I just noticed there was no ring on it, no seal. Just the cap. It was really easy to open, and the drink did not taste very good. But DMDs usually taste great.
Now I am afraid I have been poisoned or something.

Diet anything never tastes great. Quit spreading your artificial sweetener aspartame propaganda.

Actually it tastes very good. Even people I know who hate diet will drink DMD and DDP.

Oh yeah and Sugar is the devil.
