Hi, for awhile I had my cpu at stock settings.

I joined AT, and since then had my cpu overclocked to 2.2ghz (2ghz stock) by lowering the htt to 4x, ram devider to 166 from 200, and fsb to 244 with 9 multiplyer. I had ~35 idle and ~43 load

About 10 minutes ago, I decided to see how much I could push my cpu. I lowered the htt to 3x, lowered devider to 133, and set fsb to ~280 (dont remember exactly). I saved and restarted. But since then my screen doesn't come up at all, it's as if the monitor isn't connected to my vga card.

What happened?

Take out ur Manual

and find the picture of the mobo and it should tell you where the JUMPER is

Procedure usually IS

Unplug power cord..

Change jumper position 1,2 to 2,3

Wait 5-10 seconds ( remove MOBO battery if desired )

Reset JUMPER to original position (MAKE SURE U DO THIS) or u might fry the bios chip

Replug cord,, and reboot.

I've done that a few times...

The way I clear my CMOS is by switching the PSU off and removing the battery on the motherboard for a little while. Nice and easy, though you may need a screwdriver or something to get it out.

mobo loads auto settings all the time.. so when u change something,, it might not mesh with what the mobo is trying to set.. Make sure u have updated BIOS to get best overclock. and consider getting better ram
