Anywhere to sell it? Such as a company that offers you money for it. It's an old Dell Inspiron 15 inch laptop. It's not widescreen, and it is just awful compared to standards nowadays.

I mean it's just old. Any help would be appreciated!

Thank you!

Problem with laptops are they drop in vlue extreamly fast. You can't do muh to upgrade them so its very hard to sell a used one and pretty pointless. You may be lucky to get more then $100 for it depending on what model it is. But ebay is probably your best bet.

Yup, ebay it. Clean it up and take nice pics. Use words like 'thin' and 'light', even when it's clearly not. Like 2" thin! and 6 pounds light!. I always see these crappy description on ebay and even on dell and other sites. It doesn't work on me and turns me off, but I'd never buy then anyways. I'm sure it will work for some other people..

As others said, craigslist or ebay. You probably won't get much for it as new, bottom of the barrel laptops are so cheap and just as or more powerful than what you're selling.

You can also consider giving it to Goodwill or a school and take the tax deduction.

i would reccomend better descriptions. You have it listed in the for sale section as Dell Inspiron laptop. better description is what you need, ie model #, since you dont have the model number listed, type of video, # of usb ports, does it have wireless? the more detail you give the more people would consider buying it. also a link to pictures of it will help also. why is no OS installed? does it have the COA on it? if it does, say so, if it doesnt say so. details matter. Some people see that if you arent disclosing everything, maybe you are trying to hide something.

Another valid option is to give it to someone less well off than you

I have been looking hard at laptopsforcash.com and such. I saw a thread at Slickdeals.net that got me started thinking about this. I should have a box for that place soon. I requested one from laptopsintopcash.com too because they were about $45 higher for my old laptop. We will see if they get one to me in a timely fashion.

Exactly, or else stash it away. You never need a backup laptop until you need one.
