I've had both No One Lives Forever 1 and 2 (Spy in Harms Way) for a few years now, but never played them until the past couple of weeks.

Those were freakin awsome games. I hope the series comes back. The humor and polish of those games kick the a$$ of any other FPS I can think of that I ever played.

Pick them up in the bargin bin if you haven't played them yet. They're worth it. The gfx on NOLF2 (even though it's 2 years old now, I think) still look pretty good and hold up well.

Oh noes! Can't talk about a game in the "pub" forum. Meh. If the mods want to lock it, I won't fight it.

The kicker with the second one is I played 75% through the game before I realized how you use your spy points to upgrade. :) Damn, some of those levels were hard.. now I know why! :)

IMO Monolith is really unfairly overlooked. Their engines tend to look good, if not ground-breakingly good, and their gameplay is second to none. I always thought Shogo was one of the most underrated games in modern times, and the NOLF games are awesome.

me too, same developer is making Fear
I know, it's sad. Fear doesn't look like it'll be nearly as unique as NOLF.:(

Another vote for Shogo. Too bad there won't be Shogo 2 and 3 and 4 and so on.

I have high hopes for FEAR to be something really special. I guess we'll see, but it looks like a great combo of horror, sci-fi, and tactical shooter action.

I bought Shogo years ago.. never played it. Still in shrink wrap. Think I paid something like $2 for it.

Wonder if it will run on XP?

NOLF's soundtrack is pretty good, too. It comes with a bonus music CD (maybe mine was a game of the year edition, or something).

I have a CD that says soundtrack, but my PC only recognizes it as a data CD.. not as audio.
