I should go back and finish the first one!
I reformatted and never reinstalled, that was a fun game.

3dgamers has three mirrors, but they're either all full or very very slow. I grabbed it from fileshack at 378k/sec average :D. Just beat it.

The cutscenes are quite good. Levels are pretty nifty too. The Crazy Kittie (or whatever it's called) is pretty funny to watch, especially the way she arms it ;).

The underwater base level was really well done. The water effect was neat, but it actually caused my GF4 4200 to lag at 1024x768 a couple of times.

Either I wasn't sneaking enough or there weren't as many funny guard conversations this time around. The ninja's had a few, but the russian guards didn't speak much for me.

and the humor is def still there.

Yeah, it definately is. Thats one of the things that made the first game different from any others. If anyone still needs to download it, I reccomend FileFront. You don't have to register and its really fast.

Fileplanet demo worked for me and the game was a lot of fun. Played all the way through which is unusual for me.

I cant wait until the full one comes out. NOLF was one of the best FPSs ever to come out. The multiplayer sucked, but the single player was genius.

FUN AS HELL! This was a great demo and I look forward to the final game. I ran it at high detail at 11 x 8 and it looked stunning - IMO this is the nicest-looking shooter I have played, and looks better than any Q3 or Unreal engined game I have seen.

just played the demo for a few minutes... looks great... played it on 16x12 with high details and it was smooth. NOLF was one of my favorite games, so I'm looking forward to this one.

When is the release date?

Only 3 nights to d/l over 56k. :p

This game is FUNNY! Remember the talking robotic macaw? I decided to shoot him with crossbow and his reply cracked me up (English accent:) "Don't shoot the bloody bird!"

:D

First game that made me laugh in awhile. It looks as though I am (finally) getting to the end of Deus Ex . . . this one will be on my "to buy" list (and I just upgraded so the details can all be "high" without performance penalty). :)

The humor was fantastic in the first, and the demo looks promising. I hope the rest of the game can keep me as amused as the first one did.

"You look like you need a monkey!"

:D

I'm getting an error when trying to start. It says I need Direct X 8.1 (it's already installed) and a video card that supports hardware TnL. I have an ATI Rage 128. Will the demo not work with my card?

Yes, the readme states that this game requires hardware T&L. Your Rage will not run the game, sorry :(

I only played it for a few minutes but found a few pages in the very beginning.

I haven't had much time to play since I'm in the "home stretch" with Deus Ex . . . talk about a Loooooooooong game! It is just a bit tiring going from one extreme of the map to the other and back again and again that has me a bit annoyed (Deus Ex, not NOLF).

Isn't NOLF II due in October?

This game was designed with efficiency in mind...to pack the greatest amount of detail possible while requiring little relative to other games. I can run 1280x1024x32 with all the cool stuff on, and THEN some AA on a Ti4400
