No NetBEUI in WindowsME

I am having a difficult time trying to use WinME to connect to a WinNT server through DUN and also on a LAN. There are some interesting issues.
1. When I modify Client For MS Networks to login to an NT Domain, there is no login screen asking for a password when I start Windows.
2. When I dial the host NT server, I can connect and can ping, but I can't access recources because it says I am not logged in. All of my permissions are correct on the server because I can login in via DUN from other computers.
I thought I could add the MS NetBEUI protocol (that seems to have helped with Win98 connections) but there is no NetBEUI available in the add protocols section.

DOes anyone have any insight as to what is going on with this issue? I'm sure I am missing something very simple.

That's puzzling. I have installed ME on 4 systems all linked by LAN and NETBEUI is the basis of all of their connection with Windows Logon. They also all have DSL access through a router using TCP/IP through the same LAN. ???

But . . . what makes it nice is no NT to deal with. I gave up on that three years ago. 🙂
