Well, i ordered my SX830 from onvia last week, and was eagerlly awaiting its arival today. As I checked the status of the package on UPS's site, my heart sank as I read that the package had been "damaged in transit, and will be sent back to vender." I'd rather have a damaged SX380 than no SX380!!! ;) Anyway, I called Onvia to check what would happen next, and the CSR was very helpful, and said since it was on its way back to them, he'd go ahead and ship a replacement today!! It kinda sucks that I don't get my case today, but I really appreciate Onvia's buisness practices and recommend them to anyone buying computer parts.....now back to my mourning of the fallen SX380...sniff..sniff :)

I got my sx1030 case about 2 weeks ago... Since I ordered it from US store, they opened up the box at the custom... Problem is the stupid guys actually used some drivers or something to opened the door and left a scratch... Not only that, for some reason, the warranty sticker on the powe supply was ripped... Wonder what they did with the case.... Good thing I had Enermax PSU I was using from the previous computer...

I've got one.

Yes, its quite easy to work with in the case. And if you remove that stupid purple full length card dohicky, you can tape (why ruin a cable?) all your drive cables down out of the way. At least thats what I did.

The only thing I'd wish for is more light in the case when i'm putting stuff together. The two fans in the back seem to block alot more light than my old supermicro 750 did. Oh well, thats what my climbing headlamp is for, eh?

cheers!

I just wanted to take the time to inform all my fellow ananadtecher's not to ship via UPS. I happen to work for said company and can safely say i will never have anything shipped to me by them ever again. Go with USPS, they are safer.

MikeF... lol... man you know something's wrong when their own employee bashes the company. My SX1030 had an impact hole on the side of the box... but the contents were undamaged...

Anyone have any wheels on their cases? I went to Home Depot to search for some wheels, none fit... and no thumb screws either!!! I ended up using some of the extra copper spacers for the mobo... works great! :D

dcdomain: consider mounting casters to a board that you can mount to the case.I know its more material to deal with but think of the posibilities here:
1. easier to remove and mount the feet back on (for transporting)
2. raising the tower another inch higher so the drives are a little more accessible
3. #2 could be a bad thing if you are already height limited.

There is only one thing to do! Find the bastard that damaged the case and shoot him in the head.
