No Mouse take two

Doh! I have a a7m266 board, 512 micron DDR, gf264mb, win 98, tbird1.2. About every twenty boot ups or so, I get a message that no mouse was detected. Nothing works except for a reboot. Does anyone else have this problem? Somthing I should just learn to live with? Tried different mouse, checking connections, yada yada.

Tried flashing the BIOS? It could be that.

Brand new board. Sticker on bios says 1004a nka1. I read that there is a 1005, but thought it to be for the new amd chip?

is this an usb mouse?
if it is, you could try using an usb to ps/2 adaptor to see if the problem persists!

Nope, ps2. I think I may try a usb next though. Do you think that may be good next step?

Ihave :^( I read on another board how others were having the same problem w/a7m266 mobo. However, that board is not active, so I was seeing if anyone here has this same "feature".
