I just bought a microsoft wireless optical mouse. It is the Wireless Optical Mouse 2.0. The driver software is Intellipoint version 5.00.174. In the driver controls I don't see any setting for adjusting acceleration. I can tell by the movement that there isn't any acceleration in windows or games. Does anyone know how I can enable it?

Yeah, this pisses me off. I am returning my Pro Duo now, not for that reason alone though. The mouse is very, very uncomfortable. I thought that my Logitech MX500 mouse was too small, but the microsoft one is worse! I like the feel of the older M$ mice much better than their new wireless explorers.

omg thats pretty insane, considering i chose mx300 over mx500 over its smaller (and thus more controlled and agile movements in games) footprint. thank god they make mice(mouses?) of different sizes, i just loathe the feeling of the mouse touching my palm. op, i think you could use the registry entries to enable it, altho i prefer no acceleration in any case.

save this as a ".reg" file and try importing it, see if it helps.
