I'm not trying to say that women are "simple beasts". I guess what I'm trying to say is, if I look at porn, I am getting arroused by watching people other than my girlfriend. I know that she wouldn't like that. I believe it is hurtful and disrespectful to the other person. I wouldn't like the thought of her being turned on by watching other people as well.

Now I shouldn't outright say that it is wrong. If both people in the relationship enjoy viewing erotic material, then by all means, watch it together. However, if this is being done in secret by either people in the relationship, I think there is a problem.

On a side note, I do know that most girls do not focus on penis size. I know that a huge penis can easily be uncomfortable for them. I do know that the fact that I live in this society, it's easy to get something like that drilled into your mind and it can be a big insecurity for a lot of guys.

The key to every aspect of a couples sexual relationship is communication. If you enjoy watching porn, talk to your SO about it. Don't hide it, because it can only cause problems.

She generally doesn't (seem to) mind when I watch heterosexual porn. Often times she'll watch with me and then the fun really begins. She doesn't like it when I look at male porn, however. Makes her feel like there is something she can't offer me so I don't look at that stuff much. You're probably right about her hidden feelings and I do try to keep it on the DL.

I think it is great that you are giving it up. My husband had the same problem and I did not know for 10 years. I was so ready to leave him over it because he told me he did not do that kind of thing and thought it was degrading to women.
