On server 26 around 30+ people formed a giant naked conga line starting in Stormwind then drove it all the way to some horde city, doing the train emote and picking up new people along the way, where we thoroughly got whooped... good times. Later I joined a huge raid on the undead city. We held the front gate and courtyard for a couple hours. Great game but so addicting that I'm not gonna buy it.
 
So, question to all you beta players... what's the best class? I used to be a heavy D2 player and always had the best char for the patch (ww barb, polearm barb, hammerdin, javazon, etc etc..) I'm so in the dark w/ wow... I haven't read anything about the game!

Lol please don't go into WoW with the same mindset as D2, they're completely different. No class is the best, they all have specific purposes.

Nah, whooped up on some lvl 23's with my lvl 20 hunter. 24 was the limit though. Couldn't seem to kill any levl 24's. Mages and warriors fell to me until about 27 or so though, then their items just made them too powerful.

The differences in class power are very minor (or will be, I don't have high level knowledge). Just choose something you will enjoy. WoW will never be as badly balanced as Diablo 2, the steady monthly costs will ensure developers work on the game constantly to fix bugs and other problems aswell as improve the game.

Nice, were you on server 10?

I got a ton of screenies from server 10, full raid group, we raided ashenvale from XR and did some mad pwnage, I stealthed, ran to the very back and killed like 10 priests that were sitting back and healing... did that about 4 different instances, we had the alliance backed up all the way to thier city before we stopped advancing, little tough to take on those lvl50 guards... especially when there is like 50 other alliance players there...

fun stuff, I must have gotten 100+ kills and maybe died like 8 or 9 times, rogues are awesome!

This was my first "real" expirence with MMORPG, and frightning. Thinking about it in class, thinking about it when eating, thinking about it when the girlfriend is talking to me, thinking about it right before bed... and that's pretty much all the times I *wasn't* playing.

Real scary to imagine what would happen when I was actually paying for it and got higher levels.


Evercrackesque means something all new to me now. Temptation is overwhelming.
 
I got an orc hunter on server 31 to level 40 and just got my wolf mount. Probably will be playing on a pvp server come retail, but still undecided on which one. Was fun one-shotting people in the barrens during those pvp-fests. 😛 The entire alliance force usually just ran as soon as they saw me coming. 😀

thats 2 factions kickign the crap outa each other in the barrens which is a Horde lowbie zone... and usually a huge free for all pvp area...

If you whooped up on some lvl 23 rogues with a lvl 20 hunter then quite frankly they were newbs who didn't know how to use combos or sprint.

Rogues > all.

Seriously. I'm not even saying that because I have one, I'm saying it because I feel they are very unbalanced.

I have a low opinion of RPG's so i figure I wouldn't like it. A friend signed me up and I was hooked. I started to think of lvling up during the day. And wishing, I had more pockets for inventory. Starting thinking of my bank balance as XP. 🙁 It's sad, I know. But I will not buy the retail version because of this. ( I wonder how long that resolve will last).
 
I don't think I'll be playing/buying it. Beta was fun, but it's pure dope. Had my experience with Diablo 2; just sold it and freed my soul. I'm staying away from Blizzard until StarCraft 2 comes out, if ever. PS. my WC3 cds are in my gf's car; she took them from me.

balt.. Warlocks kick ass in PVP... they are prolly the first best at PVP solo ganking...

they are one of the classes peeps feel need more nerfing after talents were put in..
you need to get to higher level and get your talents for your true power to show...

21 is just the beginning of the game 1-20 takes about 12 hours to get...

I'm not disagreeing or doubting you, but I'd really like to hear more. In particular, how do you avoid getting easily killed by your adversary? Your summons can usually grab the attention of NPC's, but every real person knows that all they have to do is kill you to also eliminate your summon.

Warlocks have pretty strong curses and DOTs and such, but if you can't avoid getting taking a couple of hits you're dead anyway.

Also, don't the really high levels summons come with caveats? I've heard that you have to sacrifice a group member to get the most powerful one, and then it's almost impossible to control anyway.

Got to level 24 myself in that time but remember, some people paid for the extra week at fileplanet so they had some more time. 😀
