i have never watched it. never even seen more than a commerical for it.

I highly recommend renting the DVDs (If you sign up for Hollywood Video's MVP plan it'd be really cheap 🙂 Just make sure they have it first). I never had any interest in it either, but when I found out it was created/written by Aaron Sorkin I gave it a shot and I was HOOKED. The first few seasons were some of the best TV I've ever seen. His previous show, Sports Night, is another one of my all-time favorites.

I liked sports night. Boy, it didn't last long though.

Lost is destroying everything. ABC has a really good line-up. Boston Legal is my current favorite drama, followed by Lost.

NBC is putting Wolf?s new drama ?Conviction,? about young prosecutors in New York, on Friday?s schedule starting March 3.

NBC is also moving ?Las Vegas? from Monday to Friday starting in March.

Oh, sure, like there wasn't enough on Friday anyway.

Stargate SG-1
Stargate Atlantis
Battlestar Galactica
Numbers
Monk
Ghost Whisperer
Close To Home
In Justice
Now add:
Las Vegas
Conviction

Not that I watch all of these, but on other nights (Saturday, for instance) there's not ONE show I watch regularly, let alone several to choose from. 🙁

I will miss West Wing, although the first years with Sorkin were by far the best.

I'm sorry to see it go, but am relieved too.

The writing was awesome, I actually felt like I was learning something when I watched it, but for instance last night's show reeked.

The topic was a nuclear power plant meltdown, and all the main charachters except for Alan Alda's were spouting the typical anti nuke crap.

WHY!

I don't mind the cancelling of "West Wing" my question is why are they putting on yet another frakking (BSG, love it too much) "Law & Order"? They already have too goddamn many and they are all about the same thing, it's like they create a new series and hash up old stories from past episodes in yet one of their trillions of L&O shows.

IT NEEDS TO DIE!!!

Cancel that frakking show, all of them.

/rant off

I'm waiting for Law & Order DMV, the tales of an upstanding driver's license examiner & rooting out bad guys attempting to remew their driver's licenses.

It never caught on well enough, America just doesn't like to watch respectable politicians.

You aren't seriously comparing a political drama to real life, are you?

I like the original one personally

the other ones are always either about 11 year olds getting raped or some pimply faced geek saying "enhance, enhance" and suddenly they have the graniest picture from an ATM zoomed in to 1000 yards on a licence plate and now they know whodunnit

The Office? will go off the air at the end of March so star Steve Carell can film a movie, Reilly said

NOOOOOO!!!! Oh well, guess that'll be the end of season 2. I can't WAIT for it to come out on DVD (I rarely EVER buy a DVD, too).

WTF?!

Will it be coming back after that? The Office is one of the best comedies on TV... hell, aside from 'Earl, it's the ONLY comedy on TV!!!!

I swear that is one of the most underrated shows EVER.

HAHAHA!!!

Now maybe that would do it for the hardcore 70yr old L&O fans that keep that show from dying.

yeah, it'll come back. steve won best actor in a comedy show so they have some awards under their belt. it's an overall good show with solid ratings. i predict (with a 95% certainty) that it'll come back.

WW went in the crapper along with jumping the shark after pothead writer/creater Aaron Sorkin left. Despite it's liberal leanings the shows were tightly scripted with great dialogue when Sorkin was writing. The cohesiveness disappeared and the charcters completely changed after he left.

His best show by far was and still is Sports Night.

I'm surprised by the Las Vegas move to Friday, I would think that a lot of its target audience (Males 18-24) would not be watching TV at that time.

west wing was some of the best television i had seen. Incredible writing and acting.

to bad it "was" =\ it has been going downhill for some time.
The real kicker for me was a s6 episode (i think) where the nbc promo commercial was normall but then at the end of it they said "OH, and did we mention the giant asteroid heading towards earth?" >< it because clear that the network really didn't know how to place the show, etc.

It's kinda odd NBC shifting schedules killing shows, isn't that Fox's normal area of expertise?

Yea when I heard of the election i thought this would stir things up and get the ratings back up on WW. But when it was moved to Sunday, I knew like family guy, it was gonna die. I guess NBC hired some fox people, and this is what happens.

I thought they would give it at least 1 full season with a new president. Guess not.

I never like this show much anyways.. politics/drama is not good entertainment probalby not probalble situations in it..good ridance..<-- dunno how to spell that >_>

As mugs said, give it a try. It has been a pretty good series until Sorkin left. Dont know what happened there but the series is pretty bad after he left.

I haven't watched broadcast TV in years. Hell, I haven't watched much of anything in years. All the channels play only Reality TV and Sitcoms now, even channels like Discovery. Maybe if we had more public television that played things like "Masterpiece Theater", I would watch.

Bartlett was one of the best characters! The characters were not the problem, it was the writing.

That episode is phenomenal. Profound - gives you lots to think about.

hollyweird doing political shows is silly

Yeah, but it was actually very good.

The second season finale, Two Cathedrals, was one of the single greatest episodes to ever be on TV.
