Just tried to order a 850 t-bird from buy.com and order got cancelled. Called up CSR and was told that AMD was no longer
shipping the 850 t-birds. Has any one heard of this or is it BS?
was looking to build a t-bird set up any recomendations for a new set up??Noticed that there are a few more MB's that support socket A and allow for voltage adjustments for OC.I know they have the duron 850 now but wanted a tbird any help would be great

PC cost is selling them for 169 without an HS/Fan. they are alittle slow on getting it shipped out but it gets there...i just ordered a 900 that i o/c to 1ghz. Also if you want to pay alittle more you can go with Micropro, they usually have them stocked and ready to go plus you get an HSF with the price....

I also had my order for the 850 T-Bird cancelled by Buy.com. The 850 is no longer listed on the site. I was trying to respond to your last post re: cheap Radeons when the thread was locked, so I will do it here.

Read my 2 posts in the other thread for insight then follow the link to the pictures where you can read the serial# as well as the ISR# (or any other number for that matter).

ATI describes the ISR# as referring to Sample or Evaluation versions (ISR == Internal Sample).

The 2 cards that I got work ok, though as I mentioned before thay are clocked at 143/143 -- a lot less than production versions. The only issues I have with them is that they don't turn the monitor back on after shutting the monitor off in Power Saving mode... any ideas are appreciated.... AND they display visual artifacts when overclocked to 183/183 (using PowerStrip). At 175/175 they are both artifact free. Radeons in Disguise
