Yes...many of us know why. He probably won't be on-line for 10-15 years...and he didn't sell his computer...it was taken as evidence.

LOL!

I remember a thread a few months back vaguely talking about a member being accused of a certain crime. The thread didn't name the forum member.

Am I hot or cold?

The incident Boomer spoke about happened in late June, but I doubt it was discussed here.

I think the best thing to do is put it all out in the open. It's the only way we can move forward and heal as a community.
There hasn't been a conviction, so technically he has done nothing wrong.

Won't be back in 10-15 years. Computer seized. Chris Hansen.

Things are coming together.

I feel like I ought to investigate other avenues of information after I get home.

This is a very good idea for all.

That may be your personal opinion, but I fail to see why it's a good idea in an absolute sense. If it's public information, which it most likely is, then who cares?

just as HamburgerBoy said--I don't think this is technically public information. But I'm even less interested in another internet witchhunt burning on the fuel of what essentially amounts to secondary and tertiary information (As I understand it).

Lots of people no longer around. But what do you expect, Anandtech was built on great in depth hardware reviews and made its forum membership based on that and has since turned into a mostly mobile device site. Then it sold out literally. They didnt even have a single GPU review for this gen out ontime, hell most arnt even out yet.

This site is going to keep loosing people till its just Off Topic left, most of the technical users already left.
