Sad thing is that most of the harm is because it's illegal. If it was legal to manufacture those "addicts" would have a cheap and safe source for their high. They might even be productive member of our society.

I seriously doubt they would be productive members of society. I know several people whos lives were destroyed because of addiction. One guy killed himself, another because homeless and ended up killing himself as well.

Guy I went to school with, he got strung out, and killed himself - http://www.tributes.com/show/Claude-James-Viator-85266928

War on drug does more harm than good.

Again, I seriously doubt it.

I had one professor who's class was a big group project. I loved working with all but one of them. Who I gave a horrible peer evaluation.

I'm nearly sure I got a C in that class. The guy fucking hated us. There goes my 3.7 :'(

For example:
  1. Did not say what he wanted but graded us on it: The sheet said make reports. He expected 3 specific reports. Which we did not know of
  2. Make study guides for test. Tell us to look over it. Test has nothing similar on it
  3. Never responds to emails. No matter what it regards
  4. 1 hour a week he has office hours. No appoinments
  5. Never let class out early. He would start teaching a completely diffrent subject. wtf
  6. I'm sure I have more somewhere…
/Rant

Got my first C.

Yay. Fuck it. I don't care. Can't do anything about it now. I'm glad I don't have to see that asshole's face again

If I get a C or D in my statistics class I will retake it. Had a 3.7 GPA up until now and I bombed a lot of tests. Hopefully I didnt bomb the final but, who knows?

I'm expecting worse-than-usual grades this semester as well, although no C's. Spent my finals weekend working on a history essay and a research paper thingy. Didn't have much time for exam studying. :(

(I even have/had a 3.7 GPA myself. We should get to know each other better.)

At least for a little while.

Finals are done. I feel slightly dumber than I did at the beginning of the semester. My book is coming from Amazon, at a small fraction of the college price. Already have plenty of pens and notepads. Parking pass not for sale yet.
Still no poontang, despite the fact those girls are dirty and horny and have no morals of any kind.
Got all my shopping done. Maybe like 3 errands between now and Christmas. Still running an endurance test on my moms new Blackberry (9 days with radios off and 4 days so far with all radios on, including NFC).

Maybe I should take up a new hobby, like smokin crack?

Discuss.

You could always try Pervitin. Adolf loved it...

SL, just one word of advice.

Audit as many courses as you can. See how many you can take w/o paying any extra and TAKE them.

Look for a Photo class, or Choir, or Literature or 3D Calculus. Whatever you think you would like, but will not need for your major.

When you get out you start finding out you not only do not have the time to do much of that anymore, but the $$ either.

Oh, and if you want to curb binge-ing, just start drinking the expensive beers/whiskeys/etc. Once I started drinking the "snooty" beers, I found it very difficult to tolerate anything that you would serve in a funnel.

Stats were the only math class I had trouble with. Primarily in their insistence to rename everything.

3D calc, Linear Algebra, even Advanced Engineering Mathematics (diff-e-q's et all) were nothing compared to stats....

And, truthfully, stats (and probability) really are not that hard. They are just a different animal.

I still don't understand why people are so excited to get out of college. I'd kill to go back to college. No responsibilities, plenty of opportunity for action, living with a bunch of friends.

Out of college, you may have more money from a job, but so much less opportunity for fun.

I'm already putting in ~40 hour weeks at a "big kid job" getting paid 1/4 of what I will be for the same job when I have that piece of paper. I pay all my own bills, tons of responsibility live by myself. When I graduate I'll have way more free time, money and I'll have the ability to move which is probably the most important to me at the moment.

Relax, man. I have no doubt you pay all your bills. I did too. But they change. Everything changes. You spend a lot less time with your friends, your time with teh womenz gets cut dramatically, and frankly, it's just not near as fun. Sure, you go out on the weekends with friends, but it's nowhere near the college experience.

Enjoy it while you are there. After a couple years in the workforce, you'll look back and say "Yeah, that was f'ing awesome. I miss college."

This. The paychecks are AWESOME, not gonna lie...having money is pretty damn sweet. But the trick is finding time to spend it WISELY and you will miss all your college times. At no other time in your life will you be surrounded by so many others in your same age group and roughly the same mentality as you are now. Enjoy it.

I'm 32 and cranky. And have no doubt I come across like a 45 year old. Saw way too much stuff at a young age when I was in the Navy. But it didnt really make me mature, just jaded and bitter.
Working very hard to get past that, trust me.
