GM stopping development for Olds. I know the Olds lineup isn't inspiring, but that name has been around a long time.

Have a link?

That sucks. The intrigue was probably one of the sharpest looking sedans from a US manufacturer, too bad it's shoddy reliability is what probably did it in :(

They also charged too much for their vehicles as well, for what you got.

I heard on the radio that not a lot of foreigners want to buy it because it was "old" and it was "mobile" its a "old car" as they interepretated it.

General Motors has too many models that are similar between chevy, buick, oldsmobile anyway.
I would say this is a good move at trying to reduce costs without really reducing selection!
Besides, noone really buys Oldsmobiles anyway...;)

Too bad, the Alero, Intrigue, and Aurora are nice looking vehicles. And they just redesigned the Bravada on an all new platform...OUCH!! :D

Oldsmobile was such the crappy name for a car. Seriously, the new aurora and intrgiue would have done much better under a different name.

Actually, the worse car name in a foreign market was the Chevy Nova in Mexico.

In spanish, nova = no go :D

Good Riddance to that brand name! I have only negative associations with that name. GM should've dropped that tag agos ago, right after the *not your father's olds* ad campaign.

I agree, some of the newer models from Olds are pretty nice cars. My buddy has an Intrigue (company car) and it's pretty sweet.

Superdude - FYI, they don't make large clunky oldsmobiles anymore.

I heard that since 96, GM has dropped $5 billion trying to revitalize Olds...now that's ouch
