Senate passes bill ending forced arbitration in sexual misconduct cases

A bill that would eliminate forced arbitration agreements for sexual assault and harassment survivors in the workplace now heads to the president's desk.

Its a small step in the right direction. It still won't change the overwhelming advantage molesters and rapists have in court, but it keeps them from being shielded by corporate policy.

This bill invalidates arbitration agreements that preclude a party from filing a lawsuit in court involving sexual assault or sexual harassment, at the election of the party alleging such conduct.
