Yes I know not all theists are good, in fact some of them are gay drug using preachers who hire male prostitutes for crying out loud.

hey hey hey! there's nothing intrinsically wrong with that--it's the fact that one is a douchenozzle scummy hypocrite that does it, calls himself evil, and tries to "re-educate" himself into being something that he absolutely is not--a straight, god-fearing male.

also, it's funny that such a staunch Catholic cries about how evil is prostitution, how only amoral atheists engage in such things, when his very own Catholic church has a long, and very public history of tolerating gay male priests and their pederasty.

...so is it only amoral if the priest pays for the rape?
:hmm:

I am very disappointed. Not so much by the fact that the adult section was closed, but by the fact that CL caved in.

Adult section on CL was junk - mostly full of scams and fake pics. There was no rating system, no charge for the ads either, effectively no filtering.

However the fact that CL was forced to close the section is very sad and speaks volumes about the society.

You have to remember that CL is a free site. With that, you expect access to all sorts of trolls and haters, and tons of filtering to find anything of value (and this is for most of the CL sections).

I have met people through CL, and it turned out well, but there remains all sorts of horror stories. This is simply something you have to expect with a stripped-down free service. CL simply won't start creating paid accounts to access "premium" member forums, as the mere suggestion that some access isn't free would put a lot of people off.

(yes, real estate and job listings are pay-to-post, but I'm talking about access to ads and such, which is what keeps the community going)

Now who is assuming and trolling? I know CL is no longer available to satisfy your urges, but come on now, get a grip man.

wait...what am I assuming there?

are you saying that the Catholic church hasn't tolerated pederast priests throughout their history?

...or how do you define "tolerate?" :hmm:

I don't mean to keep attacking that issue, just pointing it out as a contradiction to your hilariously inaccurate belief that only atheists create crime.

I mean, I suppose that argument could work if you didn't believe that pederasty was a crime. :hmm:

lol. Wrong. Most customers of prostitutes are irreligious outright and therefore engage in illegal behavior of all sorts thereby causing the loss of craigslist adult services for all. This is a fact you deny because even you know this.

LOL.

Nearly all of the people in prison are religious. Athiests have the moral highground. Always have, always will.

this is the dumbest, un-supported assumption I've ever read.

here's one article with some figures
http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/451423/the_oldest_profession_shocking_facts.html?cat=17

here's an interesting stat. vague, yes, but let's start assuming (we know you like assuming)

what was that? 70%? D:

70%??

I know you theists like to consider yourself some sort of "moral majority" (yes, us rational people know that there is no such majority), but anyway, let's play along.

How should we break down that huge 70%, if you are to likewise believe that the upright theists represent a MAJORITY of this country, let's not discount the "mild theists," too.

someone posted the atheist/agnostic numbers here the other day at around 25%. OK not sure how to break that down by males, so let's just go with 13% of those are males. If all of them are lawless heathens that engage in debauchery, then you still have some 50% of the numbers that must be represented by some sort of believer, right? What if a very high percentage of non-believers do not engage in acts of prostitution? then where does that leave you?

You suck at math. You dont need to break the 25% into male and female. That 13% means males are 13% of the total population, not of the male population. Just assume its an even split and say 25% of males are athiests. You're already dealing with a percent of the male population (70%).

I didnt explain that very well.

Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal

How can anyone take that guy seriously? That asshat could not remember he did not serve in Vietnam. He purposely let people think he served over there. Last thing I want to do is listen to him talk about morality, which is what this is really about. Child trafficking is just the attorneys general excuse for censoring. They don't really care about prostitution otherwise they would take down other larger sources.

LOL wut? Most customers are irreligious, and therefore engage in illegal behavior? Because religious = moral = legal? Is this kindergarten-level drivel really your logic on this issue?

Wow.

You must mean like Jimmy Swaggert and Jim Baker religious, moral and legal?

There is an alternate site but we've pledged not to even mention about its possible existence.

Going after Craigslist to stop prostitution is like going after video games to stop teen violence.

What a joke.
