They were just talking about this on NPR the other day. The CEO of Craigslist was on the program & kept defending the service & saying how wonderful Craigslist is. A couple callers criticized Craigslist, pointing out that other similar "copycat" sites did NOT allow any adult services to be advertised. The CEO countered with "well, they make up only 1% of the market, so I think the public has spoken and said that Craigslist is socially responsible." He kept babbling on about how prostitution services were routinely screened from Craigslist by a lawyer working for them. Made me want to call in, pick a city at random, and start reading through the adult services ads.
