everyone keeps saying that aids is also a heterosexual disease but can anyone name a heterosexual that has gotten aids (ryan white doesnt count, he got a blood transfusion)? liberace, rock hudson, magic, randy shilts, freddy mercury,,,,,i cant either
Silohen actually brought up that point about America, which I had not heard. I still think of AIDS as predominantly a disease of male homosexuals in our country, but I guess this is changing. However AIDS is extremely prevalent in Africa, which has a very low incidence of homosexuality. Asia has a higher rate of homosexuality, but AIDS is still predominantly a heterosexual disease. In most of these countries homosexuals are much more constrained in opportunities than are heterosexuals and there are few homosexual prostitutes, so homosexuals contract HIV at lower rates. In the USA and at least parts of Europe the homosexual community is much, much more promiscuous so they contract all sexually transmitted diseases at higher rates.

Even though butt sex is ideal for transmitting HIV virus, it all comes down to number of sexual contacts and protections used, not the number of penises in the pile.

Here's my list, in order:

1. Ireland
2. Italy
3. France
4. UK
5. Norway
6. China
7. Japan
8. Germany

Heh - Ireland is at the top of our list too. We are going next spring. I enjoyed my trip to Austria more than Germany but it might have been location (Black Forrest vs Innsbruck)

Back on topic:
It's sad but human rights violations from Africa no longer surprise me or get as much of a rise out of me. I think I am becoming jaded towards that part of the world :\ (Although there is lingering outrage at the UNs lack of action towards the genocidal actions on that continent)
