No, it's not a fetish.

We've been looking for a decent sofa for the last few weeks, today my wife IM's me:

Wife: So I think I am going to the furniture place and putting that sofa set on layaway. I obviously want you to go sit on it first.

lulz? No, I don't have a sofa-sitting-on-fetish or anything of the sort, I swear.

First action - SunnyD sits on sofa
Second action - Mrs. SunnyD buys sofa

She has already tested it, the first in her Im refers to "before putting it on layaway". Your reading comprehension fails.

ATOT is starting to become 4chan.

😕

Have you ever been to 4chan? When I start to see dead fetuses and men fucking chickens, then I'll say AT has become 4chan.

if you do purchase the sofa and you're driving home slowly while hauling it, STFO of the left lanes!

Good point. Don't want JuliusMaximus to get pissed off at me!

and make sure you tie it down properly.

a friend of mine was in boy scouts, so he was a self-proclaimed master knot-tyer. When we got our new couch, we loaded up the old on in a small pickup truck and he did his best to tie the thing down... about 4 miles down the road we turned right and the sofa shifted slightly- no problem until it slid out the back of the bed and skid along the road for a couple hundred feet. luckily it was a country road an no one was around.

moral of the story? get some ratcheting ties when moving furniture.

What's wrong with seeing if you find it comfortable? Is this the first time you and your wife have ever purchased furniture? There have been plenty of couches that I liked that my wife didn't like and vice versa.

Hardly. I'm more surprised that my opinion matters.
