No internet connection on start up

I got a new Netgear router last week and have noticed that a couple of times when I turn on the PC, I will get a sign in the taskbar advising me of limited or no connectivity. If I restart the PC, it will go back to normal so I was wondering what could be causing this. Is there some setting I need to change in the routers software or in Windows? Thanks.
