No Image

We had a computer that ran before..we bought a new motherboard for it. and a new graphics card...we didint wipe any drivers out before doing so..hooked everything up the way its ment to...and the computer will turn on..fans will run..lights come on..but no image to the monitor..(we tryed a monitor we KNOW works)...so then we put the old graphics card we had..and now that don't work either..so we can't change any settings or anything cause there is no picture...I've also reset the CMOS...

any thoughts?

Sound like a bad motherboard do you get any diagnostic beeps when system is started?

I don't think it has a speaker? cause there is no beeps

Well if there a spot to hook one up you should try it unless it has onboard which it does not seem that it has.

If I understand your post, you:
- bought a new motherboard
- bought new graphics card
- made no software or driver changes
- plugged everything in and it doesn't run right

When installing a new motherboard, you really should:
- re-install Windows
- install the drivers from the CD that came with your motherboard
- install driver for the exact model of your video card

The OP has no video and tried 2 card with no picture, That why if you hook up a pc speaker you should get some diagnotic codes that may lead to a solution oh well.

What are the final spec's? Motherboard model, cpu model, memory, etc.?

Everything is compatible..its all from the same brand.and we even check if thoes were compatible....we put the old motherboard in and old graphics card. reset CMOS and she booted fine...now were going to wipe the video card drivers (old ones) and install the new ones...but I've never had to reinstall Windows..i've done a Mobo replacement on mine..all i had to do was re activate windows.

That might work and get you running, but you are likely destined for trouble without at least doing a repair or sysprep.

I would suggest just reinstalling windows though.
