sorry didnt see that last part, i thought you were saying to get a disk for the files.

I am noob so please be gentle but can you give me a little more info about how ramfs and/or tmpfs works?

i have a clue now but how do i edit fstab to enable ramfs ?

Edit /etc/fstab and add a line just like you would for any other filesystem, but this time the filesytem is ramfs instead of ext3, XFS or whatever.
