Ok everything worked fine this afternoon. Turned machine off and went away and come back and now I can't get any thing on the screen.

Have an 8800gt that has worked fine for months.

Removed it, replaced it etc etc etc
Tried to use old 7600 GS and nothing there either.

So tried to use built in graphics and again nothing.

It seems that there is something coming from the computer because monitor goes out of sleep mode when the computer is turned on, but i can't get anything on the screen at all.

Tried to launch in safe mode, heard a few beeps, but can't see anything to know if it is doing what I want.

Any ideas?

PS I know the OS and computer work fine because I here the 'pop' of my virus program telling my subscription has run out.

do you get anything on the screen at all? bios info when boot up? or is the screen blank through all of it? if so, then it could be the monitor

Hmmm...I just saw that you have the AGP card. I'm not familiar with the AGP workings of that board but I have the 775Dual-VSTA which if very similar. Isn't there an AGP drive strength setting in BIOS? Could it possibly be something like that?

I'll look in the 4Core board thread (in the Motherboards section) to see if anything pops up.

Have you tried a "Clear CMOS" (jumper) yet?

Edit: I see you're already in the 4Core motherboard thread...

With the Asrock boards, sometimes it means BIOS issues but that's usually PCIe, not AGP. Not sure on this one (yet)....???

at first glance..i'd say...monitor or monitor-cable.

PC boots otherwise and you see HD access and everything looking ok looking at the HD leds?
