Just heard this term on the Bob&Tom show this morning. Some government worker used state equipment to clear a heart patient's driveway of snow so he could get to his doctor's appointment. The state found out, and suspended/fired him, and he could face up to 15 years in prison for violating strict rules about not using state equipment for personal use. I'm sure he wouldn't get the full sentence, but it's ridiculous anyhow.

Still, there was that time where I studied real hard for a test. Unfortunately the teacher forgot to tell us that the test would be convering an extra 2 chapters that no one in the class had heard about. She eventually curved the grade, but I still ended up with a C on an exam I (and most of the class) would've gotton an A on if she had informed us of what was on the test.

I've found that in my line of work if I do or give anything free of charge it ALWAYS comes back and bites me in the ass. Those customers, for some reason or another, give me the hardest time and always seem ungrateful or expect more.

yes, but not punished by my colleagues. instead i get punished by the clients. nothing is good enough.

if you bend an inch they try to take a mile. if you don't bend at all you're an asshole. oh well. it's nice to be important but it's more important to be nice.
