Did another today. I didn't have another bottle rocket to pull a fuse out of, so I used nichrome wire and a car battery. Painted it for visibility this time. For some reason, the 1.5oz of black powder and sparkler dust didn't go off when the chute charge went- I know because I found some of it left in the nosecone. Odd. Nosecone was recovered again, so I may do yet another.

Disclaimer: I wouldn't be doing this so irresponsibly if it weren't for the massive rain we've had recently. Chance of a fallen rocket starting a fire is almost nil.

I usually don't get offended or upset by much that is posted here, but that just really got to me.

I hear ya but you know he's lying. It's the internet I can brag about having a 4some with pam anderson in hy stretch hummer but that doesn't make it more than a dream. The kids here are all about the shock value sometimes. :-/

Pvssy. I used to launch model rockets with D and E engines at the elementary school kids having recess down the hill. The payload? Gasoline in zip-loc bags. Or piss.

...and as a father of elementary age kids, it would be in your best interest to not let me catch you doing it to mine. Otherwise, you would need dental records to identify you.

What an ass....

Mods: Ban this tool.

Why? Because of something he did in the past? While I don't condone his actions I don't exactly think that constitutes a ban..

no, alton is right, iamtrout has been deserving a ban for a long time.
