It is a BIG DEAL...reports were showing that the Ultra was delayed. According ton nVidia, they are right on schedule. Sounds like a big deal to the other folks that posted. If it's not a big deal to you, take these words from Nick Burns, The Company's Computer Guy:

I'm not sure if I am reading this correctly, but I get the distinct impression that beyond some of the 16 year olds in here, nobody gives a rats a$$ about this card. Most of us prefer to discuss real hardware (i.e., stuff produced for the masses in volume), not PR-crap that is produced so that some company and some "hardware-fan" can proclaim that theirs is indeed the "longest"...

I post a thread about saying that there will be no delays and the Ultra is on schedule and I get knocked for that too. What do hell do you want from me?

And not only have I posted stuff on nVidia's stuff, but I have also made posts about 3dfx's Voodoo 5 6000 clock speeds. Where were you then to call me a 3dfx zealot? Besides, I'm no nVidia nut...if I were gonna get a new card today, it would be a 32MB DDR Radeon

I still don't get it. Why spend 400 dollars on the Ultra when you already know that nv20 is coming in less than 6 months? That would be like spending 800 bucks in 6 months just on video cards itself not even mentioning what else you buy for for your system.

C'mon NFS4 - nobody called you a zealot (they are usually quite ignorant).

You do put alot of interesting stuff up that focuses on the chipsets of a number of different manufacturers. However, the tone of your posts is usually quite positive when it comes to NVidia and more negative when you discuss others (i.e., 3dfx). When it feels like NVidia has &quot;bought&quot; most of the hardware sites (please see latest Sharky Video card &quot;review&quot, it gets annoying when I see (perceive?) more pro-NVidia bias (i.e., calling the &quot;release&quot; of a $700 video card a &quot;BIG DEAL&quot in these forums.
