Paula Poundstone is hilarious. She has a great standup thing on Comedy Central that is played every once in a long while.

The problem I see with most of the female comedians that I've seen/heard is that they tend to rely on being staunch feminists and/or raging lesbians for all their jokes. That leaves making fun of men, and making fun of men who like/dislike lesbians. By no means do I find their level of hilarity so low because of the fact that I am a man - no, they're just plain not funny. I've yet to see a female friend of mine laugh due to one of their laughs.

And dammit, why can't John Cleese and the rest of Monty Python get back together... ;)

Kranky, sorry bout that :) no offense, but she's horrible! hehe

As are lots of other comedians in general though. Louis Black is great though, I recently saw him at a comedy club here. Genius. But that's another topic :)

Evira Kurt is one of the funniest comedians that I have heard.

Then I saw this one woman on Comedy Central once - she was absolutely hilarious, but I can't remember her name :(

There are quite a few women on those Comedy Central Presents shows that are good and make me laugh.

Yeah, Paula Poundstone is hilarious in my opinion, one of my favorite comedians (including male and female).

<< but can you honestly say that all the male comedians
you know or have seen are funny?
>>

Certainly not. That's why I didn't say it.

<< I'm afraid you are making this a sexist argument >>

Hmmm. Don't give a rat's ass.

Have a good day. :)

So females are comedians now also? Damnit, next thing you know they're gonna be voting...

I second that. IMO, I can honestly name more funny male comedians off the top of my head than female comedians. Maybe they don't appeal to me - but there's just not as much to go around in the world of female comedy to me. Sexist to you - taste and appeal to me. Whatever :)
