Just came from Wal-Mart... and after looking over the software and game titles I noticed some empty spots... upon closer inspection of the shelf tags they were all Flight Sims! Is this taking things a bit too far? Perhaps I need a change in careers.... A+ certification cost me 1k, where here I could have just bought MS flight sim for $35.99 and been an airline pilot, with the power of a pentium 3 processor and a logitech wingman.

sorry db,

it can't be that good... MS can't even make an OS that computer newbies can understand... I doubt they could make a flight sim that actually taught you to fly a Jumbo Jet.

Maybe they didn't pull it from shelves...maybe people flocked to the store to buy it after the demonstration they showed on one of the news channels depicting the realism

You have got to be kidding? And what has an A+ certification done for you? Allowed you to sell computer hardware at BestBuy?

Trust me, I'm a pilot and MS Flight sim itself CANNOT teach you to fly a jumbo. Now, theres an addon that can, with full manuals which just happens to be for the 767. (the 757 cockpit is exactally the same as the 767)

Moralpanic,

well, if I hadn't taken a stupid class it would have only cost me a couple hundred for A+ certification. no I haven't worked at Best Buy... It got me a job at PC on Call, a come to your house PC service and repair place.... worked out pretty well until they downsized the company... now im pounding pavement again looking for new work.

This is such a stupid move. There is no point in this. If future suicidal Hijakers want to learn to fly planes by using MS flight simulator, im sure they can go buy it at bestbuy or other stores....:disgust:

Afghanistan will remove those titles from their shelves after war.

If Wal-mart had any brains, maybe they would encourage people to buy flight sims in order to learn how to fly planes, then when hijackers take over a plane they'll find out that they didn't really learn anything and won't kill the pilots.
