SOLVED (I'm retarded)

I just reinstalled Windows 7.

I have 4 hard drives.

I moved all my media onto two drives: a 500GB internal and a 320GB external.

I formatted my 1TB drive and installed a new copy of Windows 7 on it (got caught by a really nasty Trojan... pout).

Now that I have a fresh install of Windows I reconnected the internal storage drive with all of my photos and music and movies and ISO disk images. Windows explorer shows that the drive contains information (62.2 GB free of 465 GB) but when I double click on it, nothing shows up on the drive.

I have tried playing around with the security options and assigned ownership to "Mike" my current user name. When I do this all of the files that are supposed to be on the drive are listed as the computer changes their ownership, so I know that they are still there, but they still don't show up when I open the "F:" drive.

The same thing happens with my external drive!!!

I am at a loss as to what to do. Any suggestions would be reaaaaally appreciated .

Is it possible the files are hidden? You could try selecting the option to show hidden files in Explorer.

Can you see anything through the command shell? f:\dir

So... this is embarrassing, the files were hidden. I wonder why they became hidden after a new instal of Windows. Oh well. Onwards and upwards!

Thanks Lifted. You're the best.
