No drop down for RAZR to disable GPS, Wifi, Bluetooth, etc?

I suppose I could have searched, but its easier just to ask. My last phone was a Samsung Facinate. And swiping down (as you can do on the RAZR) brought up a menu to disable all the above, and auto rotate. Its an easy and fast way to do this. Now I have to dig into my settings on the RAZR to do this? That seems silly, and there has to be a better way?

That was part of Sense (samsung gui over android). I don't know off the top of my head if you can get something off the market to do the same or have to root for it.

Another option is to add a widget to your wall/desktop/whatever its called.

EDIT: Dangit, I guess I get those manufacturer overlays mixed up. Its touchwiz from samsung then.

The drop down controls for those things are part of the Touchwiz skin Samsung adds to Android.

You should be able to add a power widget to one of your home screens to get the same functionality assuming Motorola didn't remove it.

Yeah, the Razr dropdown is pretty useless, more useless than the iphones dropdown. I love my SGS2 tmo version dropdown, its actually useful and I dont have to waste screen realestate with a widget.

Possibly if you are talking about ICS but on Gingerbread I'd take Touchwiz over stock any day.

Pfff, stock is always better. I'm a fan of stock GB, pure AOSP, merely because there isn't a bug free version of ICS out for my device yet with a working camera. Damn HAL / driver issues keeping things from working...

Stock is fast. Everything works. Why the bloat?

For looks and added shit? My phone isn't noticeably slower with Sense than it is with vanilla GB. I find it slow with either, but at least with Sense it can do noticeably more things.

I think the OP might have a reason for you

Touchwiz 4 is faster and smoother than stock Gingerbread and adds extra useful functionality like the power options in the notification area, swype to call or text in the contacts app, the ability to take screenshots without rooting and installing extra apps, and some decent widgets.

You can't judge Touchwiz based on other skins. Samsung is the only manufacturer who actually took the opportunity to improve Android.

I must admit to not being a fan of the Touchwiz launcher but I agree with everything else you said there. Touchwiz is more than just the launcher and you can install a different one and continue to enjoy the other benefits of Touchwiz.

Download Battery Widget. It's a battery widget that shows what your battery percentage is at but also when you touch it, it has quick links to your wifi, gps, bluetooth, brightness, and battery info.

OP if you can get cm7 or cm9 for your phone it should give you the drop down menu you are looking for.

Look on xda to see what's available for your phone.

I love the ability to change settings in the notification pulldown (do they still call it the notification shade?), so I always choose a ROM or otherwise tweak things myself so I can have that.

I have a sgs2 that's mine and my job let me get a raze but I hate the interface and am considering romming it primarily because of the lame dropdown. Gonna head over to xda and view my Options

Ever try changing your lcd density with sense? Let me know how that works out for you... it will fail miserably. I use 200 on my Inspire, 240 is default. You can fit SO much more on your screen with a lower lcd density in your build.prop.

With stock, you also get better battery life 99% of the time. HTC Sense is a battery hog.

Anyway I'm realizing this is off topic and we are all merging off topic. To the OP, check out widgets from the Google Play store.

Thanks for all the input. I tried to download Touchwiz, but after installing it, it gives me an error and makes me force close it.

Also, this phone wont work in 3g, just 4g. Ive searched, and it seems to be a common problem, and a possible fix is to get a new sim card? How annoying. Where I work its 4g, where I live is 3g. Ugh!

edit, apparently Touchwiz is Samsungs app, so Ill try another suggested one. But I have to wait till I go to to work.. because it says I have no internet connection.
