No display during POST...what's wrong?

I hav a surplus Abit KG7-lite mobo, and so i removed my Duron 750 from my old MSI KT7 turbo LE mobo and put it in the Abit mobo. Unfortunately, the system cannot POST properly...the short beep didnt even sound, but the fans and HDD is still powered on.

I've tested the RAM, the CPU n vid card n monitor, and everything seems normal.

What's wrong if there's no display on the monitor? (powered on, but as if there's no signal)

Unplug the power and clear the CMOS for starters.

I've tried that...fiddled with the Clear CMOS jumper thingy and even took out the battery for a while...but seems the same. no beeps whatsoever. anymore help?

the heatsink is stil warm to the touch...i dont think the CPU is damaged. Could it be that my mobo is screwed?

Go back to your old mobo. If it posts etc., then you have a pretty good indication that the problem is the Abit. Makes one wonder why it is "surplus."
