I'm starting today, Monday, on a No-Counter-Strike diet until the weekend hits. I've been getting way too addicted to it lately, and I've got other things that need to get done in terms of school and everything else.

BTW, since I know the first thing out of everyone's mouth is going to be "shouldnt' you be doing that work instead of posting on andandtech?" here's my response: I log on to anandtech and spend maybe 20 mins posting and reading. I log on to a CS server and play for two hours. Get the picture?

I know what you mean John. I've had it now for about 2 months, and I've noticed my grades drop, my social life deteriorate, my relationships with loved ones, friends and even my dog go downhill. Everyone thinks Im depressed or something when were hangin out. But I'm really just thinkin of the best way to camp in Italy....

I think I might just uninstall it.......

Good for yor for deciding to lay off the gaming and focusing on a few more important things such as school. That takes a lot of determination and willpower. Good luck to you!

Yeah I know, that's still nothing compared to the highest I've seen: 1016 frags. And another server, at the opening screen thing when I entered said the record holder for that server had 950-something frags. Some people are really pathetic. I just don't want to become one of them.
 
Yeah, I'm definetly addicted, cause I'm staring at the clock now that I have my homework done. I've almost made it through night one!!!
 
I think leaving something out completely is not a good idea.

It is all about balancing your life.

I work 9-10 hours a day, study Network+ for 1 1/2 hours at home, spend quality time with Missus and an hour of CS.

It can be done.

Ha, I managed to take a couple of them out tonight. And I learned a valuable lesson. When you finally kill someone else, do not step over the edge and kill yourself in your excitement... :Q

Good for you johnjohn, homework is more important. Of course, housework does not fall under the same category, right? 😉
 
Neo, several things:

I'm not completely taking it out. Just on weekdays, and only for the next few weeks because things are really hairy lately. I'll be back on the weekends.


Also, it can be done for you because you're not addicted to this sh!t. I am. I'm trying to ease up on it. That's all.
