He (most probably) doesn't kill him, because the guy won the coin toss. It was a game with fate, and the old guy won.

Which coin toss (there are two)? The old guy at the store lives. Chigurh is something of a remorseless killer, but he believes himself to be an agent of fate. The old guy, by winning the coin toss, has proven that his time is not yet up. The second coin toss... well, that one is different.

I'm not gonna read the couple answers, cause i haven't seen it...but thinking of watching it tonight with the mom and pop (and don't want to start a new thread). question for those of you that saw it. my dad hates movies that...uh..make you think. Is there a lot of trying to figure things out in the movie? Like for example...Fight Club and the Matrix...he hated them. didn't even finish them because he didn't like that it wasn't just straight forward.

Thoughts? lol

^ I think it would work on both levels (thinking and not-thinking).

If you don't wanna think too much about it, enjoy it as an action/drama flick.

No, this movie is basically about a guy walking around with an air powered captive bolt-gun which he uses to either blow holes in peoples heads or blow deadbolts out of doors. He also carries a silenced rifle which is about 6 feet long to kill people with rather than a pistol. He also walks like Frankenstein. Enjoy.

I think its a shottie with a silencer. Kinda funny.

Agree with others that your dad will like it except for the end. He'll be like "dude, wtfbbq? did that 1337 hax0r pwn that noob or was he like meh cuz dude was already pwned?"

Llewellen Moss's wife didn't believe god plays dice with the universe so she refuse to stake her life on the toss of a coin.
