You'll need to make an Image and mount it with Alcohol120, Daemon Tools, or other such program. Don't really know how to do all that, but for other games I usually find a downloadable Image from megagames forums.

yeah. download Alcohol 120%, put the CD in the drive, run Alcohol, click on image making wizard, use your favorite search engine to find out what kind of protection is on that particular game CD, and select image making for that particular kind of protection. Or you could try a firmware update of your CD drive, or, if it's a 72x drive like mine was, it'll just have problems in windows XP period, and you should get a new drive.

P.S. Don't get your hopes up toooooo much. chances are if your computer can't read the disk enough to run it, it can't read it enough to image it.

EDIT: oh, I almost forgot. after you make the image, you need a virtual drive emulator. you can use alcohol, but it's a little confusing to me. I'd reccomend Daemon Tools, which can be found at www.daemon-tools.cc for free.

you install it, reboot your computer if necessary, if not then just run the program. rightclick on the systray icon for it, it should look like a CD with a lightning bolt through it, and click on Emulation, and click on "All options ON" just to be safe. next, rightclick on it again and go to "Virtual CD/DVD-Rom" and click on "set number of devices" and make it however many you need. next rightclick on the icon again, and go to virtual CD/DVD-rom again, click on "Device 0: Unmounted" and browse to the image you made of your CD. Good luck!

Looks like your optical drive has a problem with SafeDisc 4+. If there's no firmware fix available, I'd strongly suggest a new drive. Get a name brand drive so you'll be more likely to fix problems with a firmware flash if in the future you have problems with another copy protection.
