No burner recognized, HELP

My pc was running fine up until yesterday. Then all of the sudden, nero does not detect any of my burners. Resintalling nero does not help. Installing another app does not help either. Windows and bios sees the drives fine. Thanks for all the help.

Possibly, you were clicking around in the "Burn files/image to" tab and checked "file?" When you select "file" your burners "disappear."

If the BIOS and Windows see the drives, then it's not a hardware problem. If it's just Nero that doesn't see the drives, it's probably a setting in Nero. Can you burn files to the drives using XP's built in burn utility?

Did you do any hardware changes? Installed or removed anything? Maybe a connector for your DVD burner came undone. I would check with physical connections just to be sure.

I did not do any hardware changes. The weird thing is that ashshapoo burning software sees 1 drive but nero sees 0.
I can burn file with XP but only works for cd
