No bottlenecks?

I haven't built a computer in the last 3 years and have been on a crash course learning all the new stuff to build my computer.
Anyway, this is what's currently in my newegg cart and ready to be bought. I'm pretty sure my cpu and video card are powerful enough ;)
But I'm slightly worried about my ram and motherboard not being powerful enough to keep up....
The system will be mainly running a 1920x1200 monitor.
Main Stuff
SAPPHIRE 100251SR Radeon HD 4870 X2 2GB
OCZ Platinum 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 1066
ASUS P5Q Pro
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550

Other Stuff
Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 64
Antec TruePower Quattro TPQ-1000 1000W
Antec Three Hundred
Link Depot Power Adapter Cable

Thanks for any insight.

No bottlenecks?

There will always a limiting factor or "bottleneck" (ugh), otherwise you'd have unlimited performance.

Stop worrying and learn to love your build. It's all top-end hardare and none of it is ridiculously unbalanced or "not ... powerful enough to keep up".

And why wouldn't you with this proc? BTW OP, you didn't list your HSF.

However, consider spending a few extra bucks on Reaper, it seems like some people have issues with the cheaper 1066 stuff.

There will be some overclocking down the road, that's how my old computer lasted 3 years hehe ;)
Think this one is good?
OCZ Reaper HPC 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 1066

My heatsink is coming from my old computer, It's just a big old block with a fan on the side, nothing fanncy but seems to do the job.
I think it's this one

Decent enough for now, but you might find yourself pining for something better later on to allow faster clocks.

Have fun.

Suggestions?
I'm game for any air cooling suggestion that won't flex my motherboard under it's weight ;)

Most coolers beyond yours will require a backplate. Properly mounted, don't worry about flex.

Personally, I like my Tuniq Tower 120. You can't see the fan, and it just looks cool when viewed thru the side window. Others like the Ultra 120. Some newer stuff has recently been released that look promising...do a little reading, you should find something that fits your need.

You don't need 1000W. A good 750W PSU would be fine, and cost half as much.

Your memory is overkill. You're spending way more money on it than you need to.
You need to continue your crash course and do some reading in the "Memory and Storage" forum.

Yah I normaly wouldn't have gone that high but newegg was offering a combo, so the 1000 watt only cost $1 more than the 850 watt and $10 more than the 750 watt, so I figured what the heck, future proof if I ever want to add another 4870x2 ;)

Well the OCZ Platinum was only 56 and the reaper I got only cost 68 (it's gone up since yesterday by 30 bucks...)
The DDR2 800 version of each of those brands only cost 70 and 36 respectively... So really I wouldn't call it way more money... especially if it helps extend the life of my computer when overclocking time comes.

Looks like you've already ordered, if not get these instead:

G.Skill 2x2GB DDR2-1000 $55 shipped

No rebates to mess with, free shipping, doesn't get much better. And these are fast enough to take your 9550 to 4.25GHz before you have to OC your memory...

$68 is way more than the $25 (after rebate), Corsair XMS that I linked up for you.
But it's your money, spend it as you will.

If you're really trying to build in some kind of "future proofing", you should buy DDR3.
