NO BIOS

I have an old p1 133. Every time I try to boot up, I get no beep sound nor do i get the bios. All I get is a blank screen. I think my HDD died. What to do?

if you aren't getting anything at all on the screen then the computer isn't even POSTing... which means there is something either disconnected or not connected properly.. such as Processor, RAM or IDE cables... or one of them is dead.

if you are getting something on the screen then something is failing which means there should be a message about the fail. if not, hit the delete key to go into bios to check your settings. if the HD failed, then it will probably give you a message teling you so, or at least it will go through POST

Does the power supply fan come on?
Do any lights flash on the keyboard? CD-ROM?

either somthing isn't connected, or somthig is fried (bios, mobo, or CPU I'd guess. it should still post with bad ram)

Did you check the switch on the back of the PSU and make sure the voltage setting is correct?

The lights on the keyboard and cdrom come on. What is meant by POST? I've had some trouble with the hdd so my first guess would be that it is causing the problem.

But thanks for the feedback.
