I'm using a Gigabyte GA-965p-DS3 with a Enermax Liberty 500w and a eVGA 7900GT (both tested on another system to work fine) with 2GB of Patriot memory (also tested on another sytem with no problems). The CPU is core2 e6400.

The error is, I dont get anything on screen. No post, no BIOS, nothing. I dont even get any beep codes, even after i totally removed the video card and memory, then powered up. I reset CMOS, reseated the CPU, and connected just the speaker, and power switch. Still no beep. I just go this board in the mail yesterday - is it a dud?

please help!

It pretty much has to be PSU, memory, or mobo. It sounds like you have ruled out the psu and ram leaving the board. I would take everything apart and carefully reassemble. Make sure that the clear CMOS jumper is in the correct position. If it still wont post RMA it.

Every time I had issues with no beeps, screens or nothing it ended up being a bad CPU or the CPU not detected. So it is likely the CPU and/or mobo.
