hi all,

i've just built a new PC:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 5000+
Asus M2R32-MVP
2xHIS ATI X1900 512MB ICEQ3
G.Skill 2GB PK PC2-6400
Zalman CNPS9500-AM2
Seasonic M12 600W
Antec P180

the thing is, i connected & plugged everything in, switched it on &... all fans are spinning, the leds are lit, drives were started, but nothing happens - no video signal is being sent to my monitor, no bios beep... after a while i realized there's no case speaker in P180, so i borrowed 1 from my friend. i removed rams, gfx, switched them, used only 1, but still no beeps & no change - wtf?

any ideas?

Do the AM2 boards have the separate 4pin power connector? Maybe you forgot to plug that in.

Another thread had similar problem.

Do what seems to be the standard check.

Disconnect everything and run basic components. Remove hdd and dvd-cd.

Run mobo, cpu, video card, RAM. Do you get anything?

By the way, did you plug in this?

On the other two threads, bad RAM and bad CPU were the culprits. Try using 1 stick of RAM first.
