No Audio w/ my pvr-150

Hi,

I just got the Pvr-150 (non-MCE) and am using a soundblaster live 24bit! on XP home.

I installed the pvr, but i didnt see any place to hook up audio to my sound card? So i figure maybe it goes through pci bus?? So i installed all their latest drivers and programs from the site and when i open the player it shows TV w/ no sound. I went to the AUD setting and tried all the diff inputs and no go.

Anyone know what im doing wrong?

Thanks in advance for any help.

nope no exclamation points or question marks next to any of my drivers

Was i right to assume audio should come through the PCI and i dont have any missing cable not hooked up?

What sort of TV connection are you using?

If you're using a standard cable connection, the sound should go over the PCI bus. But if you're using S-Video in, you have to also us an RCA-to-headphone jack cable for the audio.

On your WinTV 2000 app, what are the other options you have for audio inputs?

I believe with that setting you are telling it to look to the audio-in plug for sound. Is there one labeled antenna or something similar?

i have volume control, wave, sw synth, mono in, microphone, cdplayer, aux, line in, and wintv wave <-- the default one. some of those options wernt there when i had the SBlive installed, so ill try the new ones with onboard sound and report back

I believe you want wave. I don't use WinTV 2000, though. Media Center is much nicer. 😉

Maybe download Media Portal?

tried all of them didnt help. I want media center, im just poor, and isnt it only OEM? anywhere i can get it by itself for a resonable price?

went back to circuit city and exchanged for a new one, still same problem, so it must be something im doing wrong? anyone have anymore suggestions?

Thanks for the help so far everyone.
