Hi folks, have been a lonng time member before but darn forgot my password/ would not work or I forgot it. Time is a mohter. Just want to say best forums on the net here. I just have an issue that I need some help on. it seems that when using a limited account in XP I have no audio at all and when I use the admin account I do. What do I need to do. For security reasons I rather use the limited account in general. Thanks and I really value all the points of views and recommendations of this site. thanks to all the members

Each user seems to have seperate default sound device settings. Check control panel, and if you have multiple sound devices installed on the machine, make certain that you have selected the one that you want.

This happened to my friend, that has a UD3P and an Asus 3450 video card, with HDMI output.

One of his user accounts defaulted to the mobo onboard audio, and the other was set to use the HDMI audio output.
