No appetite

For some reason for the last week I just haven't been hungry. I was eating still, but not much.

The day before yesterday I had a fruit and a few snacks. Yesterday when going to bed I realized at 8pm that I hadn't eaten all day. Oops, but still, no appetite.

Today I woke up not hungry again, but I tried to force something down so I ate a sandwich. After taking 3 bites it disgusted me and I threw it out and felt like I needed to throw up.

Is this normal? I'm probably paranoid.

FWIW I'm 18, 6'2 and 235 lbs.

Sounds like you could stand to lose a few pounds. If it keeps up though, you should probably see someone about it. Are you depressed or upset at all?

Yeah, I'm working on it. I'm down from like 260 though, and lost all that weight over the summer.

I wouldn't say depressed but really stressed (moved out, going to college, paying my own bills, got a job, etc).

I've never heard of lack of appetite from those things, but then again, what do I know?

No, after reading about stomach cancer I think you should see a doctor.

It's the stress. Before long you're going to make yourself sick which it sounds like you already are and the loss of appetite is serious concern. See a doctor.

Definitely this.

Yeah just these last few hours I feel like shit. Now I'm kinda light-headed and dizzy.

I should probably eat. lol

Try drinking something, a lot of times that's easier. Go get a smoothy or something.

You haven't been hungry in a week and you have to ask if that's normal?

This, although I'm guessing he's not thinking straight in part due to the poor nutrition. He's probably a bit loopy just due to that.

OP, you better eat, otherwise we'll have to let Rickety-Cricket teabag you and take pictures.

Op and others. Severe appetite loss and rejecting food is a serious condition. Your body is telling you something, listen to it. It's saying something is really wrong. But you must eat, even force yourself to eat.

This kind of rejection of food says see a doctor because it's only going to get worse.

I haven't had much of an appetite lately but I also had been drinking quite heavily. Didn't eat anything for almost two days. After I stopped drinking so much my appetite came back to somewhat normal. You didn't mention anything about that, but this thread just sounded familiar to me.
