AM3+ plateform is also used for low end servers so we can expect
DTs using Kaveri s lower core count parts but i doubt that it will be
less than 8 cores in a single chip , there s no way they ll use dual
4 cores parts in MCMs for the cheaper opterons.

It looks like AMD expects Kaveri to be released sooner than I initially thought. People here gave me the impression that it would be delayed until the very end of 2013 or even into 2014.

Its pure speculation at this point in time, like the talk about HD 8xxx or the mega volcanic islands, but shipments are expected by the end of this year meaning that the 2013 timeline "could" just be a paper launch.

Is this a joke? This is straight from an investor presentation that AMD gave. If they're lying to investors...then...oh, wait, no they've lied to us before and nothing happened. nvm.

Note how Richland is on the roadmap for about 5 months! Plus its life span began in April, its only got 3 months of life left and it isn't even in products yet.

Does anyone really believe that?

I certainly don't think Richland SKUs will be pulled in favor of Kaveri. AMD has had some significant delays or slow releases of actual OEM systems and retail boxed product. Here we can see Richland and Kabini/Temash trickling out. A Richland dual core on Newegg an Acer Temash notebook retailing in Europe with the US version still on pre-order. So why expect a flood of Kaveri products to obsolete Richland? They'll most likely co-exist for several quarters.

Who knows what underlying factors are responsible but the change in AMD product launching especially in the mobile sector started with Llano.

Accuracy is not your strong point , perhaps purpotedly...

The roadmap with Richland is 5 months old but it doesnt
specify that the CPU was to be launched 5 months ago ,
quite the contrary it clearly show Q2 2013 as window launch ,
so in this respect they are on shedule with it as well as for Kabini.

comprehension fail.

The length of the Richland line indicates a 5 month period. It follows trinity with a length equal to 1/4th of the year, or 3 months. Meaning the Richland period began in April.
